All Saints Anglican Church
Anglicans in Raleigh

 A MESSAGE FOR INQUIRERS

All Saints Anglican Parish is a part of the traditional or continuing Anglican movement. We subscribe to the Faith of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church as clearly expressed in the Apostles', Nicene and Athanasian Creeds; and we believe that the Holy Scriptures, as interpreted by the early undivided Church and the teachings of the Church Fathers, contain all things necessary for salvation.

"Traditional" or "Continuing" Anglicanism describes that part of the Church Universal which has separated from The Anglican Communion worldwide or The Episcopal Church in the USA. This separation has occurred over the past 40 or so years as a result of radical change in those churches

We began as a Mission in December of 2001. We became a parish on June 1, 2003.

All Saints Anglican Parish wishes to offer traditional Anglican worship and fellowship to those, Evangelical and Catholic alike, with Anglican/Episcopal, Roman Catholic or Protestant backgounds, and to help those without church backgrounds as they seek salvation through Jesus Christ.

The Holy Communion is our primary worship service supplemented by services of Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer. These services, with others, appear in The Book of Common Prayer (1928) by which we join in and become a part of the worship service.

The Worship of God is the focus of all our services and is both our obligation and our joy. We worship through song, prayer, Holy Scripture and homily or sermon. The King James (Authorized) Version of the Holy Bible is used in our services though many translations are used in our study and personal devotions.

The congregation actively participates in the service. As an expression of devotion, it is customary to kneel for prayers and for receiving the Holy Communion unless a person is physically unable to do so. We sit to receive instruction as we do when scriptural lessons are read or when a sermon is given. We stand in reverence at the reading of the Holy Gospel and in affirming our faith when reciting the Creed. We also stand to sing praise to God in our hymns.

The beauty of our service appeals to us all. Our tradition preserves the best of the music, prayer, and forms of 2000 years. To enter into and grow in this tradition offers one a lifetime of joyous challenge and satisfaction.

Join with us, no matter your background, in seeking individually and collectively to return to God, through Jesus Christ, His due reverence through worship and service.
