Outreach
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,
Ye have done it unto me. (Matthew 25:40, KJV)
Outreach is an important part of the ministry of All Saints.
Locally, we support the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina with non-perishable food contributions and also with cash contributions.
Members of our parish have also participated in late-harvest gleaning activities that benefit the Food Bank. We support Loaves & Fishes, an after-school
program for at-risk children; the Urban Ministries’ Open Door Clinic; Interact, a battered women’s ministry; and the Life Care Pregnancy Center.
During last year’s harsh winter, we supported Warmth for Wake, a ministry which provides heating bill assistance. We also gather toys for the
Interact Christmas Bazaar.
Moving further afield, we are currently joining other parishes in the Anglican Church in North America and in the Reformed Episcopal
Church in supporting the Church of Our Savior, which was destroyed in the recent tornado which devastated much of Joplin, Missouri.
We also contribute to disaster relief through the Anglican Relief and Development Fund and other channels. Our parish has ties to the
Anglican Diocese of Egypt, and we have provided support during continuing turmoil there.
